Prince William gets cozy with virgin heiress

Britain's Prince William has been seen getting cozy with Sir Richard Branson's daughter. The newly single prince talked intimately with blonde Holly, 25, at brother Prince Harry's farewell bash ahead of his deployment to Iraq at London's Mahiki club on Friday.

William - who split from his girlfriend of four years Kate Middleton earlier this month - and the Virgin heiress sipped $136 Treasure Chest cocktails and shared four dances together.

One source told Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper: "If I were a betting man, I'd put a very good wager on Holly becoming William's next girlfriend."

Holly was not the only girl to catch 24-year-old William's eye. The prince also reportedly became "transfixed" with a mystery blonde who he poured his heart out to.

William allegedly confessed that the reason behind his recent split was that he was not ready to marry.

A club source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Wills spent the latter part of the evening transfixed by this gorgeous blonde who chain-smoked and talked in his ear.

"He said he was still getting used to being single, but wanted to enjoy himself. He told her he hadn't been ready to get married but didn't want to talk about Kate.

"He was bowled over by the young lady."

William was obviously enjoying his newfound status as Britain's most eligible bachelor and didn't leave the club until 3:35 a.m.

American idol Finalist Arrested

Former Top Ten finalist Jessica Sierra was busted on felony battery and drug charges early Sunday in Tampa, when she clocked a guy over the head with a heavy glass. The victim suffered a cut over his eye. Cops then found a small amount of cocaine while searching Jess.

The 2005 AI crooner was released Sunday afternoon on $11,500 bail.

Peter Andre down with viral meningitis

The Jordan and Peter Andre household are back in the hospital.

After spending New Year's in a London hospital while their son Harvey recovered from burns, dad Peter is now the patient.

The 'singer' and reality TV star, who married Page Three model Jordan after meeting her on "I'm A Celebrity," is suspected to be suffering from viral meningitis.

The family, which includes Harvey and Junior and a baby on the way, are currently by Peter's side at East Surrey Hospital in England.

A spokesperson for the Australian-born star said, "Following recent tests on Peter Andre at the East Surrey Hospital, it is believed that Peter is suffering from suspected meningitis."

The couple has recently returned from a promotional trip to L.A. They are also filming a reality TV series about their lives.

A friend of Jordan's, aka Katie Price, said, "Jordan was absolutely stunned. She is doing her best to keep calm for the baby's sake."

The spokesperson continues, "It is serious but not the worst strain."

The couple married in a lavish English ceremony, including a horse-drawn pumpkin-shaped pink carriage.

Prince Charles thinks He's too old for princess Diana's concert

Britain's Prince Charles is "too old" to attend the Princess Diana memorial concert in July. Charles reportedly thinks the line-up for the Concert for Diana - picked by his sons Princes William and Harry to reflect their mother's tastes and their own - is too young for him.

Acts set to perform include Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, Joss Stone and Pharrell Williams.

A Clarence House spokesman on Thursday said. "The concert is really for the younger generation to enjoy. William and Harry are organizing the guest list.

"There will be a memorial service for Diana on August 31, which will be an event for all generations of the Windsors to come together."

Charles, 58, and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will stay away from the concert at London's Wembley Stadium, which takes place in the late princess' birthday, July 1.

Lily Allen, Kanye West, Rod Stewart and James Morrison on Thursday were added to the line-up.

It has also been confirmed that Sir Elton, will perform his revised version of "Candle In The Wind" which he sang at Diana's funeral in 1997.

Prince Harry will seek a leave of absence from his Army duties to attend the concert and the two princes plan to pay tribute to their mother from the stage during the event.

Madonna and Genesis have opted not to appear at the Concert for Diana and will instead perform at climate change event Live Earth, which will also be held at Wembley Stadium.

Richard Gere may face 3 months in jail for kissing in public in india

It seems like the court system in India is treating Richard Gere as if he just committed a horrible, murderous crime. An Indian judge recently issued a warrant out for the actor's arrest after he was seen publicly swapping saliva - okay, okay, their mouths were closed - with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

The affectionate gesture of kissing is considered "an obscene act" in the conservative country, if it's done outside the privacy of your own home. Unfortunately for Richard, the incident got out of control when a lawyer reared his big head and began complaining that such an act is illegal as far as he's concerned.

Judge Dinesh Gupta agreed and, according to Life Style Extra, said the smooching scene was "highly sexually erotic" and "transgressed all limits of vulgarity."

But Shetty thinks considers that an outrage. She recently said people need to stop making a big deal about something so silly - not to mention natural. PTI quotes her as saying, "I understand this is his culture, not ours. But this was not such a big thing or so obscene for people to overreact in such manner."

She added, "I understand people's sentiments, but I don't want a foreigner to take bad memories from here."

ABC news reports that those convicted of public obscenity may face time in jail - up to three months - while also being required to pay a fine.

Alec Baldwin apologizes for rude remarks to his daughter

Instead of handling a delicate matter privately, Alec Baldwin was adamant about letting everybody in the world know why he recently called his daughter a "pig," in a poor attempt to justify himself and gain sympathy for his demeaning words.

Alec made a special guest appearance on Friday's episode of "The View" to set the record straight about why he said he would set his daughter's "a** straight."

The actor sat down with the ladies to tell his side of the story about the angry voicemail message he recently left the 11-year-old that caused an uproar in the country.

Of his nasty comments to the pre-teen, which included calling her a "rude, thoughtless little pig," Alec said he learned that he took out his frustrations on the wrong person and he realized how many people live with "shameful secrets and make it their career to humiliate you."

When Barbara Walters asked him if he has since spoken to his daughter, Alec mentioned that it isn't something he is allowed to discuss.

However, the actor did want to make it perfectly clear that all his friends and family "know what has been done to me" and that he's been a victim of "parental alienation."

The interview came to an end by Alec apologizing for "how everything played out."

Sandra Bullock nearly lost husband Jesse James

No matter how tough someone looks, they can still fear for their life.

Sandra Bullock's husband had that reality over the weekend when a woman attempted to run him over with her Mercedes multiple times.

Jesse James, founder of West Coast Choppers, found Marcia Valentine outside his Southern Californian home on April 22.

The Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino told PEOPLE, "At around 10:40 a.m. James found the suspect, Marcia Valentine, lying on their driveway. He told her to leave, but instead she got into her 2004 silver Mercedes and tried to run him over three to four times... Valentine tried to kill him."

The incident was witnessed by Sandra and Jesse's 10-year-old son, Jesse Jr., from a previous relationship.

According to the sheriff's office, Marcia has stalked movie star Sandra in the past. However, Marcia is now free after being arrested and posting $25,000 bail. She is due in court on May 22 for a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Sandra's rep, Cheryl Maisel, told PEOPLE, "Both Jesse James and Sandra Bullock are fine and it is now in the hands of the authorities."

Jesse and Sandra married in 2005.

Eve escaped death narrowly

Rapper Eve has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing her car.

The rapper and actress - who starred in "XXX" alongside Vin Diesel - narrowly escaped death after she drove her gold Maserati into the central reservation on Hollywood Boulevard at around 2.45 a.m. on Thursday.

The star - full name Eve Jeffers - was handcuffed by police and taken in a squad car to the Los Angeles County jail.

A witness said: "She was visibly upset. The car was totaled."

There were reportedly two passengers in the vehicle at the time.

In a bizarre twist, Eve was visited in jail by Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn, who was seen leaving the police station in a taxi at 4 a.m. A police source told gossip website TMZ.com: "He came to see how Eve was doing."

It is not known if Penn had been out with Eve earlier that night.

The Grammy-award winning artist - who once had her own self-titled sitcom - was later released on bail and picked up in another Maserati.

Lindsay Lohan is a LESBIAN

I used to love Lindsay Lohan. From her days of "Parent trap". How innocent she was then. But now, it semms like the fame has gotten into her skull. From being a party goer, to rehab, to making out with people's boyfriend to being a LESBIAN? Its sad you know. And to think that she's only 20 years old. I just hope it doesnt get too late before she realizes she's heading for the rocks.
Lindsay Lohan "made out" with her female DJ best friend in front of Japanese clubbers, it has been reported.

The "Mean Girls" star is said to have enjoyed a passionate lesbian embrace with Samantha Ronson in a Tokyo nightclub.

An insider told Star magazine: "They just started making out right there like they didn't care who saw them. Everyone knows they are more than just friends. They are lovers. Maybe because they were across the globe they didn't think anyone would notice."

Lohan allegedly gets together with 29-year-old Ronson whenever she is single. The source claims the actress once said: "If I'm not with a guy we hook up."

Reports of 20-year-old Lohan's supposed lesbian leanings surfaced earlier this month when former publicist Jonathan Jaxson claimed she was "tired of boys" and had decided to "spice up" her love life with Ronson on his personal blog.

Lohan and Ronson first met three years ago in a Los Angeles nightclub. Her representatives have denied the pair are involved in a relationship.

The young Hollywood star recently pulled out of starring in new movie "The Best Time of Our Lives," which follows the life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.

Lohan's role would have involved a steamy threesome with British beauty Keira Knightley.

Angelina Jolie is dying

Angelina Jolie may have more to worry about than her reportedly shaky relationship with Brad Pitt.

The National Enquirer is reporting that the world's best orphan saver is suffering from a "deadly disease" that is making the stunning starlet's hair fall out and suffer "uncontrollable shaking."

The report comes in the same week that Angelina appeared in Washington looking frail. Her weight has steadily been declining since the birth of daughter Shiloh in 2006.

While there is much speculation about Angelina's life, particularly over her relationship with Brad and their four children, her declining weight has been overlooked. However, Angelina's brother, James Haven, has publicly declared that he is concerned about her shrinking frame. But no one has confirmed a deadly illness.

Angelina spoke in Washington on April 26 as part of the formal launch of Global Action for Children. The U.N. ambassador pushed for more education for third world children.

At the event, Angelina said, "This is a happy day because it is not often enough that these children are represented in this town."

Speaking at the National Press Club, the Oscar winner continued, "Our government has the power to choose which path these children are going to take. We know the consequences of our inaction.''

Despite having adopted three third world children, Angelina said that she wants to help children have better lives in their own countries.

She continued, "The best solution for anyone who is abandoned or displaced is to be home (in their own countries). I would support that first and foremost.''

Prince william's fling

Britain's Prince William has been secretly "flirting" with two women behind Kate Middleton's back for months, it has been reported.

The young prince - whose break-up with Kate was announced to the public on Saturday - has been involved in a serious "flirtation" with two girls, whose identities have not been disclosed. And Kate has reportedly been waiting for William to call an end to their relationship for a while.

A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "As far as she was concerned, it wasn't a question of 'if', just 'when.' She openly admitted that she expected a formal announcement to be made by Clarence House."

Brunette beauty Kate, 25 - who fell in love with the prince when they were students together at Scotland's St. Andrew's University four years ago - was reportedly devastated when William rebuked rumors that they would soon be engaged.

As well as rumors that William, 24, has been pursuing hopes of a romance with an unnamed well-to-do young lady, the royal was reportedly spotted kissing and cuddling an unknown blonde in a London nightclub recently.

Prince William insists that the decision to end his relationship with Kate was all his own - and that his father Prince Charles and the rest of the royal family had nothing to do with it.

According to reports, Kate and her former royal lover discussed it while on their recent skiing holiday.

William was allegedly "deeply affected" by the death of Army colleague, Joanna Dyer, in Iraq, and the young officer was prompted to "re-evaluate" his life.

As well as wanting to focus on his military career, the prince allegedly said: "All the fun has gone. I don't want to be nailed down."

Book claims princess Diana married for fame

Britain's Princess Diana married Prince Charles out of a desire to become famous, it has been claimed. A new unauthorized biography - "The Diana Chronicles" by Tina Brown -alleges the princess pursued the prince despite warnings from her mother that she should marry for love, not status.

Brown - a former editor of The New Yorker and Vanity Fair - has reportedly received a $2 million advance for the book - which reportedly portrays Diana as scheming and ambitious.

Brown wrote an article 20 years ago entitled "The Mouse That Roared" revealing a dark side to Charles' and Diana's marriage.

She has spent years on the new book, speaking to 250 sources, some of whom had never talked about Diana in public before.

Brown opens the book with an anecdote recalling a lunch meeting she had with the late princess in the summer of 1997 at the Four Seasons restaurant at which Diana talked about moving to the U.S. She died in the same year in a Paris car crash on August 31, 1997.

Other revelations in Brown's book - of which extracts have been printed in U.S. Vanity Fair this week - include an allegation that the princess spent two nights with Charles on the royal train, before they were married.

Diana denied these trysts, but Brown claims a royal protection officer was the unimpeachable source of the report.

The book also claims Prince Charles was never unfaithful to Diana until her eating disorders and neurotic behavior drove him back into the arms of Camilla Parker Bowles - his now wife.

Brown also alleges Parker Bowles' true love was not Prince Charles, but her first husband, Andrew, who she alleges was a serial philanderer.

Milla Jovovich is Pregnant

Milla Jovovich has confirmed she is pregnant.

The "Resident Evil" star and her fiance, writer-and-director Paul Anderson, are expecting their first child this fall.

Her representative confirmed the happy news and said the couple were "thrilled."

The 31-year-old supermodel and the 41-year-old filmmaker - who wrote and directed all three "Resident Evil" films - met on the set of the first horror movie. They have had an on-off engagement for four years.

Milla told Us Weekly magazine: "He got me an antique ring and he proposed four years ago but we broke up in between. I was training for a film at the time and I was unable to train with the ring he got me, so I asked him to get me a more casual, smaller ring and he bought one for me.

"We haven't set a date yet. We talk about it casually. I have a good girlfriend in Italy. She is part of an ancient Italian family and they have a castle so we are hoping to get married there."

It will be Paul's first marriage while the "Fifth Element" star has been married twice before. She married director Luc Besson in 1997 and in 1992 she eloped to Las Vegas with her "Dazed and Confused" co-star Shawn Andrews when she was just 16. Her mother had the marriage annulled a month later.

Paul, who directed 2004's "AVP: Alien vs. Predator," is about to begin directing thriller "Man With The Football."

Lindsay loses role to rival sienna

The tangled web of Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan competing against each other in Hollywood is about to turn professional.

The two stars have shared boyfriends - at different times - like Jude Law and Jamie Burke. And now Lindsay is once and for all completely replaceable by Sienna.

The stylish starlet has signed on to take over Lindsay's role in "The Best Times Of Our Lives," after the 20-year-old backed out of the production.

Sienna will now join British starlet Keira Knightly in the film... and some steamy sex scenes.

Lucky for Sienna, who has had her fair share of love scenes and semi-naked photo shoots, Keira also doesn't have a problem with getting in the buff on film.

Oscar nominee Keira recently said, "Sex scenes are easy. I don't really have a problem with them. Actually it's quite liberating in the movie 'Domino' to be out in the middle of the desert completely topless with a beautiful Venezuelan guy. I was very lucky."

Lindsay Lohan, meanwhile, is starring as a stripper in "I Know Who Killed Me."

Sharon stone enjoys being a single mom

Sharon Stone has praised single mothers and insists it is an "amazing accomplishment" to raise children alone.

The single actress - who has three children all under seven - admits it is hard work to care a family on your own, but ultimately worth it.

Sharon told PEOPLE magazine: "The most surprising part of being a mom is that I can actually accomplish it all every day. And get them all under the blankets every night."

The 49-year-old star has three adopted sons - Roan, six, Laird, who is almost two, and 10-month-old Quinn.

Sharon's sister Kelly, 46 - who co-hosted a prom-themed charity gala with Sharon on Saturday - also praised her sibling's parenting skills.

Kelly said: "She's a great mama. I was there the other day when they were going to bed and they were so cute. I said to her, 'I don't know how you do it.' I always thought that I would want to be the mom, but I just think now Sharon is such a great mom, and I could never do it."

Proceeds from Saturday's charity event, which took place in California, will go towards helping underprivileged teenagers buy dresses and tuxedos for their prom nights.

Seems like our dear Posh's got an attitude problem

Victoria Beckham has allegedly been labeled a "grade-A bitch" by the crew of her new reality show.

The former Spice Girl has reportedly infuriated staff working on the NBC show - which follows Victoria and husband David's U.S. summer move as David joins the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team - with her rude attitude and arrogant behavior.

A show insider told Britain's Star magazine: "We think she's full of herself and not very nice. She's very picky, demanding and rude. And she was mean to the assistants, too.

"She waltzes around with her icy attitude. People will walk up to her and say, 'Welcome to America,' or, 'Good luck with the move,' and she doesn't even stop to talk to them.

"The show is designed to make her a star in the States, but she's dreaming if she thinks that's going to happen. She's coming off as a grade-A bitch!"

It is also alleged the show's nervous producers are worried the series will be boring and a major flop.

The source added: "No one knows what to do with her to make the show interesting - she's so boring! Every suggestion the producers make, she rejects."

Sanjaya dines at the white house

Sanjaya may have been booted off "American Idol," but that didn't stop the White House from inviting him over for dinner.

The former "Idol" contestant was a special guest of PEOPLE magazine to the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner on Saturday night. Looking sharp and with highlights in his hair, the singer wore a suit and strutted in front of photographers and other celebrities with a sparkling, white smile across his face.

Guests at the classy event included singer Sheryl Crow and "Desperate Housewives" actress Teri Hatcher, reports the Post Chronicle.

When the 17-year-old was still part of the singing competition, a number of fans voted around the clock to keep him on the show. His time was quickly cut short, though, last week when he received the lowest number of votes among the seven finalists.

But we're sure Sanjaya's 15 minutes of fame won't be over anytime soon and his name will continue to be chanted on the streets.

A Baby for Usher's lady

Ladies of the R&B world mourned when word got out that hottie Usher was engaged to stylist Tameka Foster.

Now the Daily News is reporting that there might be a little hip-hopper on the way for the betrothed twosome. Though Tamkea denied having a bun in the oven to friends last week, two other sources close to Usher told the paper that she is, indeed, with child.

Maybe her denial comes because of the whispers that the baby could belong to Tameka's ex-hubby and not Usher. Whoops.

Look, the mystery is easily solved. If the baby is born with a top hat and killer abs all's well.

Do Tom Cruise and Katie really have a happy ending?

Have you guys seen Sleeping With the Enemy? Where Julia Roberts runs away from that creepy controlling husband? She fakes her death, changes her look, her name and hides away in this little Southern town, in a house with a wrap-around porch that I was always jealous of.

Anyway, since Katie Holmes has moved down to Shreveport -- and out from her hubby's death grip -- to start filming her new movie, reports are surfacing that Kat has been getting in touch with old friends, who she hasn't spoken to since hooking up with Tom. Life and Style is reporting that Tom's Kat is reconnecting with people from her old life and even secretly talking to Catholic priests!

Katie called former best bud, Meghann Birie. “She wanted to talk to someone not in Camp Cruise,” a friend told the mag. “Katie told Meghann she can’t believe she abandoned her old life.”

The source also says that the actress has invited her parents to visit her on the movie set. “She’s trying to make amends with her family."

This whole story just makes me think of the Julia Roberts flick. I can see Katie falling for a down-home Shreveport teacher and wanting to run away, back to her roots. Then Tom would come to get her and all hell would break loose. For those of you who haven't seen the movie, I won't ruin it for you, but the ending is chilling.

J-LO & Hubby sue National Enquirer

Jennifer Lopez and her husband,
Marc Anthony, are suing the National Enquirer in European courts over the tabloid’s claims they were linked to a drug scandal, their Belfast lawyer said Monday.

Paul Tweed, who specializes in bringing U.S.-based celebrities’ libel cases to British and Irish courts, told The Associated Press that actress-singer Lopez, 38, and singer Anthony, 37, were seeking “a six-figure settlement” from the Enquirer, based in Boca Raton, Fla., and its parent company, American Media Inc.

Tweed said the lawsuit would be filed Tuesday in a Belfast court, and in subsequent days in courts in Dublin, London and Paris.

A telephone message left at the National Enquirer wasn’t immediately returned Monday. A spokesman for AMI, Richard Balvo, said he had no comment.

“It would be our policy to not comment on it at this time, Balvo said.

The lawsuit also seeks an apology and retraction for an article that appeared in different versions of the Enquirer’s U.S. and international editions.

The version published March 12 in British and Irish editions alleged the couple were “caught up in a heroin scandal” — and reprinted a 2004 picture of Anthony standing beside photographer Michael Star, who is facing charges of heroin possession and child pornography in the U.S.

The article quoted an alleged friend of Star as saying Star and Anthony were friends.

Tweed told the AP this was untrue and that Anthony didn’t know Star even as an acquaintance. Anthony posed for the 2004 photograph, Tweed said, in keeping with his usual hospitality toward backstage concert fans.

There has been a growing trend in international libel suits brought by U.S.-based celebrities in European courts, where libel laws favor the celebrity, not the publication.

“The First Amendment restrictions in U.S. libel law make it virtually impossible for international celebrities or other high-profile individuals to sue successfully,” Tweed said. “But with the advance of the Internet, and with U.S. publications now extending their distribution network into Europe, they must subject themselves to libel laws in these jurisdictions.”

Tweed said he received approval Monday from Lopez’s Los Angeles law firm, Lavely & Singer, to proceed with the lawsuit.

It will be Tweed’s second lawsuit against the Enquirer. In July 2006, he secured a published apology in the European edition of the Enquirer for an article that claimed pop singer Britney Spears was about to divorce Kevin Federline.

I wanna quit the music industry for good--Britney

Now that Britney Spears is out of rehab, she likes to joke around about getting away from the music industry once and for all. Hopefully our wishes will come true.

Britney Spears says she is ready to "quit" pop music.

The singer, who checked into Malibu's Promises rehab center in February, jokingly revealed her new album has proven so stressful she is considering a new career.

When Britney was asked when fans could hear her new record, she smiled and replied: "I think I might be quitting!"

The "Toxic" singer, who is set to work with top producer Timbaland on her music comeback, was seen at the Millennium Dance Studio in North Hollywood undergoing a grueling two-hour dance rehearsal on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, BritBrit's ex-lover Justin Timberlake has been calling her to offer a shoulder to cry on. Justin, who dated BritBrit for four years before they split in 2002, was so concerned about her checking into rehab that he contacted her.

He said: "I called her because I am worried about her. She is a great woman. I'm rooting for her. It seems like she is getting everything under control now."

Victoria Beckham, tired of people complaining bout her size

Victoria Beckham is reportedly drinking wine to increase her appetite, it has been claimed.

The former Spice Girl - who is reported to have shrunk to a size 0, a U.K. size 4 - is tired of people criticizing her for being underweight and has turned to alcohol to "give her the munchies."

A source told Closer magazine: "It's the reason she has a drink. If she has a wine or two then she'll have an appetite like everyone gets when they're on a night out and drinking.

"She's got a big wine cooler in her house in Madrid and will have one in California when she finds a house. She and David have a life director who is helping them organize the move and she is also sourcing nice Californian wines."

It has been reported Victoria, 32, eats just one meal a day, refuses to touch carbohydrates and will only eat steamed fish, vegetables and salads.

JLO & Marc Anthony--Is it a rumor?

Why is it that celebrity love lives are always heading for a dive. Who is always at fault? The man, The woman. Well you never know. First it was the unbelievable separation between Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston. I simply couldnt believe my ears but it happened. Well i hope Brad's happy now.

Now, the new rumor is (well i hope its a rumor) that music star Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony are on the verge of breaking up.

The tab is saying that although the couple have tried to work it out in counseling, Marc is overbearing and controlling and Jen just can't take it anymore.
Others say, its all rubbish, that the two love birds are inseparable. Well, there is no smoke without fire, the saying goes. Maybe something's wrong and they are just trying to hide, but the question is how long will it last? with JLo's past records, hopes aint high at all.

12 year old killed Grandparents and gets supporters

Supporters are rallying around a teenager who killed his grandparents and blamed the antidepressant drug Zoloft. Every week, Janet Sisk rises as early as 5 a.m. and drives nearly 100 miles to spend her Sundays with the boy who was just 12 when he murdered his grandparents in their sleep.

She planned to spend part of Easter weekend sitting across a table from Christopher Pittman at his maximum security prison in Columbia. She also made the trek from her home in Charlotte, N.C., to spend Christmas Eve with him.

She's not alone — a half-dozen people drawn to Pittman's case visit him weekly. Another woman has flown from Michigan to see him twice in the past year. Hundreds of others rally around him in other ways: promising to pay for college when he gets out of prison, and campaigning for extra safeguards for arrested juveniles in South Carolina.

To Sisk, director of the Juvenile Justice Foundation, Pittman has become more than the youth who attracted worldwide attention when he blamed the 2001 slayings on Zoloft, the antidepressant he was taking. She now thinks of him as her third son.

"He's shy and he's quiet and he's polite," Sisk said recently. "It's like we've been friends with him forever."

Pittman used a pump-action shotgun to shoot his grandparents, Joe and Joy Pittman, and then set fire to their Chester County home.

During his trial, not held until four years later, Pittman's attorneys unsuccessfully argued he was involuntarily intoxicated by Zoloft and did not know right from wrong. A judge sentenced him to 30 years in prison.

Pfizer Inc., the manufacturer of Zoloft, said in a news release after the verdict that Zoloft "didn't cause his problems, nor did the medication drive him to commit murder. On these two points, both Pfizer and the jury agree."

Zoloft is the most widely prescribed antidepressant in the United States, with 32.7 million prescriptions written in 2003. In 2004, the Food and Drug Administration ordered Zoloft and other antidepressants to carry "black box" warnings — the government's strongest warning short of a ban — about an increased risk of suicidal behavior in children.

Now 6-foot-2, Pittman turns 18 on Monday in an adult prison where he was moved six months ago from a juvenile facility, but the supporters who visit him say that even Pittman doesn't consider himself to be grown up.

"Chris said, 'You have to remember, that everyone here is the age that they were when they went in,'" said Teresa Strattard, the Saginaw, Mich., woman who has visited twice. "So, he was basically saying that he was 12."

The South Carolina Department of Corrections does not allow media to interview inmates in person.

Like Sisk, Strattard has a son of her own, and the boy she saw on television during his trial struck a chord that seems to still reverberate for Pittman's advocates.

"When I saw him sitting in that courtroom, I realized that could be my child or anyone's child," Strattard said. "There was just something about him, and it shocked me, and it wouldn't go away."

Those sentiments, combined with outrage that Pittman was held so long before his trial, have fueled supporters who hope that an appeal of the case to the state Supreme Court will succeed. In October, dozens of supporters and relatives gathered in Columbia as defense attorney Andy Vickery argued that his client's confession was influenced by Zoloft and his youth.

Lawyers say a decision on the appeal could come at any time.

"I've got my fingers crossed, and I'm hoping," said Pittman's father, Joe Pittman, who has traveled from Florida several times to visit the son who killed his own parents. "He's on my mind every day."

Christopher Pittman's mother has not been part of his life for years.

Through his office, prosecutor Barney Giese declined to comment on the case because the appeal is pending. During the trial, he reminded jurors of the brutality of the murders, describing how Pittman shot his grandfather in the mouth and his grandmother in the head and then told police they "deserved it."

Pittman supporters recently asked lawmakers to pass a measure requiring increased protections for juveniles taken into police custody in South Carolina. The measure does not appear to be gaining traction.

While he waits for a decision on the appeal, Pittman has a job on the prison maintenance crew. His supporters say he spends his time staying busy with that work, and with staying safe.

"I believe his grandparents would want us to give our love and compassion to their grandson and to fight for his freedom," Sisk said. "Those that really knew Joe and Joy Pittman and their kindness and love they had for their grandchildren, I'm sure, would agree."

K-Fed, The biggest mistake of my life-Britney

Lots of Britney fans might say "I told you so" when they hear what Britney is saying about Kevin Federline, as Spears reportedly told her ex that he's "the biggest mistake I've ever made."

Star magazine says the two had a mostly congenial meeting to discuss their divorce terms, which is where the conversation took place. After Spears informed Federline of his status to her, she then said "but thank you for my babies."

According to the report, Federline will get about $13 million from the divorce, and that Spears was a bit reluctant to go through with the divorce. The tabloid also claims Federline faked Spears into believing they would get back together after her rehab so because he wanted to encourage her to stay in the treatment center.

Whitney Houston gets child custody

Whitney Houston 's 14-year marriage to Bobby Brown will officially end this month, and she will get custody of their teenage daughter, a judge ruled Wednesday. The singer dabbed her eyes with a tissue as Orange County Superior Court Judge Franz E. Miller ruled that the divorce will become final April 24. Brown did not attend the hearing.

In court, Houston testified that she did not need spousal or child support and that the couple's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, could not depend on Brown.

"He's unreliable," Houston told the judge. "If he says he's going to come, sometimes he does. Usually he doesn't."

Houston declined to comment to reporters after the hearing.

Brown's attorney, Ram Cogan, said he will seek to overturn the judge's decision.
Houston filed for divorce in October, citing irreconcilable differences. She was granted a default judgment in December to speed up the divorce. Miller's ruling Wednesday upheld the terms of that judgment.

Houston and Brown wed in 1992, when she was at the height of her fame as a Grammy-winning superstar known for such hits as "I Will Always Love You."

During their tumultuous marriage, Brown was arrested on drug and alcohol charges, and Houston twice entered drug rehabilitation programs.

Mandy moore fractures ankle

Mandy Moore fractured her ankle jumping off a boat for a Self magazine photo shoot.

"It happened at the end of February in Mexico," her rep says. "It was for one of the setups for the spread where she had to jump into the water."

Moore, 22, who has been sporting a walking cast on her right leg for the past few weeks, graces the cover of Self's June issue.

It has certainly been an eventful few months for the actress, who said recently that she expected 2007 to be "a year of change."

Her latest movie, Because I Said So, hit theaters in February; her new album, Wild Hope, debuts May 8 – and just last month she ended her romance with DJ AM.

"I've been going through this really crazy time in my life," Moore told Jane in February.

Life got even crazier on Saturday, when she was slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

A mother offers her 7 year old daughter for sex.

A 33-year-old woman faced arraignment Sunday on charges alleging she offered to let an undercover investigator take pornographic photos of her 7-year-old daughter and have sex with the girl.

The woman was arrested Friday after taking the girl to a hotel in Romulus, near Detroit Metropolitan Airport, where she had agreed to meet the investigator, the Wayne County sheriff's department said.

Authorities said the woman offered to let the investigator take the photos for a fee and, when she met with him, discussed being paid in exchange for sex with the child, the Detroit Free Press reported.

The girl and her four siblings, ages 12, 11, 9 and 6, all were in protective custody, Roach said.

The name of the woman, who lives in this Detroit suburb, wasn't being released to avoid identifying the child, the sheriff's department said.

She faced five charges, including child sexually abusive behavior, illegal use of the Internet for child sexually abusive actions or materials and distribution of child sexually abusive material.

She also was charged with prostitution, since the department said she propositioned the investigator herself. The department said the woman advertised herself online as a prostitute.

If convicted, she could get up 20 years in prison.
