Cameron Diaz's new man says she is "amazing."
The "Shrek 3" star has allegedly begun dating magician Criss Angel and the illusionist admits he is completely smitten.
Criss, 39, told PEOPLE magazine: "Cameron is an amazing person. I'm so honored to be able to call her my friend."
While the pair have yet to confirm their romance, friends say they are already very close.
A source said: "I don't know how to classify them. But she is using the word 'we' to mean her and Criss."
Last week, Cameron, 34, flew to Las Vegas for an intimate dinner with Criss at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino's Social House restaurant. The couple continued their evening partying at PURE Nightclub, where they were seen cozying up in the VIP area. The pair then headed to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Body English club at around 1:15 a.m.
The week before, Cameron and Criss - who was briefly engaged to British actress Minnie Driver - were seen together at the VH1 Rock Honors party, before moving on to the Jet Nightclub with Drew Barrymore
On Monday, they enjoyed dinner at Bellagio's Prime Steakhouse and caught a performance of Cirque du Soleil's Beatles tribute show "LOVE."

Cameron diaz loves to party
Cameron Diaz watched two topless beauties "rub slime on each other" at a racy New York sex show.
The "Shrek The Third" star partied until 4 a.m. at the Box nightclub on Christie Street and allegedly couldn't take her eyes off the racy adult show in the early hours of Wednesday.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "The show had two topless girls rubbing slime on each other and wrestling, followed by a simulated 'sex show' conducted behind a silk screen. Cameron was staring the whole time."
The 34-year-old actress looked slightly intoxicated when she appeared on the "Today" show at 7 a.m., just three hours after leaving the club.
Cameron told interviewer Meredith Vieira: "Life is like high school and celebrities are the popular kids."
She also dismissed her recent red-carpet kiss with ex-lover Justin Timberlake at the world premiere of the new Shrek film, in which they both voice animated characters.
The blonde beauty said: "I think what you want is for the person that you care about to be happy. And I think we both are, so it's easy for us to see each other. And it's easy for us to greet each other, even under the microscope of the world. It's not really that difficult. There's just nothing big about it. It's not a big deal."
